John R. Kinkead was introduced to investing by his mother in 1967 when, at age 12, she bought him shares in the AMCAP mutual fund that made its debut that year. The one condition that was imposed by his mother was to study the portfolio holdings and determine why a specific security had been selected for this fund’s growth strategy.
Since then, John has enjoyed an extensive career in the financial industry, affording him a great deal of experience, which he incorporates while acting as an advisor to high net-worth clients to find suitable solutions.
In 1991, John joined Merrill Lynch & Co. in Southeastern Ohio developing growth and retirement portfolios for individuals and small businesses. John was consistently recognized for company leading performance results.
His time as an advisor to high net worth clients while at Morgan Stanley Wealth Management in central Ohio was where he felt he was the most effective. All those cold winters brought him to Naples, Florida where he joined The Naples Money Managers in 2016 as Vice President of Wealth Advisement. This partnership provides John an opportunity to leverage his industry experience as a Wealth Advisor and to assist current and potential clients in developing investment-based growth and income strategies to match their specific financial needs.
John and wife Teresa, have six children and four grandchildren. Volunteering at their church in Bonita Springs and in their community is part of what they feel is important in life. John attended San Jose State University for undergraduate studies and completed his M.Ed at Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah.
